At 2:23 AM I'm still to damn jittery to fall asleep for the next 3 to 4 hours. At this rate I may as well move to England because the jet lag would have little to no affect on me and maybe then I could pass for something less than nocturnal.

The other day I got together with to comemorate our transition to seudo-adulthood since we're both leaving home in a few days. We played with the nerf guns at Wal-Mart and had cookie dough for dinner because...Well...Because we're adults and we can do what we want now damn it. As we walked down the street watching the stars and extruding balls of cookie dough into our filthy germ ridden hands I came to the realization that soon I'm going to start having fun without him. This thought for some reason is terrifying.

It's not like I've never had fun without him before. But I always had a comforting security blanket of Dalton to fall back on when everyone else wasn't in the mood for my shananigans. And there are very few people with whome I can throw logic, maturity AND rationality to the wind. The stuff we've done? It's usually reserved for those who have widdled away their common sense on drugs and alcohol. Frankly I couldn't be more happy that he's been there to make me take all those chances with my life and criminal record. At least now when I watch movies or read books about people who, for no reason, wind up going on crazy adventures I no longer have to think stuff like that only happens in fiction. D is one of the hardest things about this place to leave.

But even so I'm pretty excited.
